What Is It?
Safe and Fuel-Efficient Driving for LGV’s is designed to improve the safe and fuel-efficient driving techniques of Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) drivers. It provides training and development for existing LGV drivers through instruction relating to vehicle craft and road craft.
Do I Need My Own Vehicle?
We would recommend that you use your own
usual vehicle as it allows us to tailor the training to you and the vehicle.
However, if this is not possible, we will arrange for a vehicle to be available
for you on the day of your training.
The Course
This is a 1 day course which can be run for
up to 2 candidates at our training centre in Devizes, or on your company's site. The start of the course will be an initial assessment carried out by our Instructor. Training will then be given on best practice in safe and
fuel-efficient driving techniques based on the assessment outcome. Following
this training you will then be reassessed to record all improvements in your
driving performance and actual fuel consumption.
Each successful candidate will come away
with a certificate and a written report of their performance and improvements.
