NVQ Level 2 Carry and Deliver Goods
Duration: Approx 6 months.
Entry Requirements:
Any qualified person working as a driver or courier in a multi-drop operation.
Objectives:
To gain a National Vocational Qualification in Courier Vehicles (inc. motor or pedal cycles). NVQs are a measure of competence and skills level. They are delivered and assessed in the work place.
Content:
The candidate is required to complete the mandatory units:
- Contribute to effective working relationships
- Maintaining the safety and security of the load, self and property
- Contribute to the provision of customer services
- Complete pre-journey and post-journey procedures
- Planning the route and timings for the delivery and collection of loads
Plus 1 further optional unit from the list below:
- Handling goods and materials
- Dealing with payment transactions
- Operate specialised plant and machinery to perform requirements
- Lift, transfer and position loads
