NVQ Level 2 Warehousing and Storage
Duration: Approx 6 months.
Entry Requirements:
Any person involved in warehouse and storage from warehouse operatives to warehouse supervisors.
Objectives:
To gain a National Vocational Qualification applying to warehouse and storage operation. NVQs are a measure of competence and skills level. They are delivered and assessed in the work place.
Content:
The candidate is required to complete the mandatory units:
- Maintain health, safety and security in logistics operations
- Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in logistics operations
Plus 6 further units from the optional units listed below:
- Provide customers with information and advice on goods and services
- Operate equipment to perform work requirements
- Move goods in logistics facilities
- Receive goods from deliveries
- Place goods in storage
- Maintain the safety and quality of goods
- Maintain the safety of hazardous goods and materials
- Maintain hygiene standards in handling and storing goods
- Process orders for dispatch to customers
- Assemble orders for dispatch
- Sispatch goods for delivery
- Process returned goods
- Sort goods and materials for recycling
- Audit stock levels and stock records
