NVQ Level 2 Plant Operations
Duration: Approx 6 months.
Entry Requirements:
Any qualified person operating plant machinery.
Objectives:
To gain a National Vocational Qualification applying to a variety of mechanical handling equipment. NVQs are a measure of competence and skills level, they are delivered and assessed in the work place.
Content:
The candidate is required to complete the four mandatory units:
- Conform to general workplace safety
- Conform to efficient work practices
- Prepare plant or machinery for operational performance
- Operate plant or machinery to lift and transfer loads
Plus additional units if required:
- Move and handle resources
- Slinging and signalling the movement of loads
