Specification: Carriers of Dangerous Goods operating in the road haulage sector wishing to qualify by examination for the Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser Vocational Training Qualification (Road).
Objectives: To be able to pass the Core, All Classes & Road examinations by SQA (Scottish Qualification Authority) leading to the DGSA Vocational Training Certificate required by EU Directive 96/35EC.
Examinations: The examinations are conducted by the SQA at sites around the country; these locations are notified in advance and confirmed by the SQA once the candidate has registered for examination.

 

Registration:

The SQA require all candidates to have registered a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the examinations.

All students will be required to provide proof of registration before training commences.

Please note:
To qualify as a DGSA, candidates must pass 3 subjects as follows:

CORE, Road, Classes (depending on the range of dangerous goods they will be working with)

You do not have to sit all 3 examinations in one exam session; however, you must achieve 3 passes within 12 month to qualify.
